Combustion air can be supplied to studio equipment either from a common manifold fed by a single constant speed blower or individually by independent dedicated variable speed blowers.
Constant speed options include Eclipse and New York Blowers which are made of continuous welded, heavy gauge steel. The impellers are made of light weight, high strength, riveted aluminum. There are four possible outlet positions that can be changed by removing the housing from the blower base and remounting it in the desired position. The standard outlet position is bottom horizontal as shown in picture. Filters and rain hoods are available.
For variable speed blowers we use Ametek, so that it can be slowed down when the furnace or glory hole requires less heat. This method results in a savings in electricity, especially when the glory hole blowers are turned off and furnace is idling.
