Glory Hole Combustion

The regulator maintains stable gas pressure over the full range of required gas flow. A zero-governor maintains proportional gas flow to the corresponding, desired air pressure. An optional reduction pedal system uses a solenoid to boost gas flow around the gas/air mixture creating a gas rich mixture and a flame that reduces certain glass colors. Premix systems are noted for their ability to mix air and gas very intimately so that the flame is a very hot one that burns quickly and efficiently. Eclipse Inc.‘s low pressure proportional mixer, when used with a zero governor, maintains a user-defined gas-air ratio throughout the operational range. This means that to adjust the flame from high to low, the user needs only to adjust the butterfly valve setting, and the gas will be adjusted automatically. The result is a savings in fuel and time. We use these proportional mixers primarily on glory holes, though they may also be used on furnaces. The Veriflame flame monitoring unit continually checks the U.V. Scanner for a flame. Round glory hole burners, widely acclaimed for their excellent flame stability and quiet operation, are easy to install and exceptionally durable. The DMV/DLE, air pressure switch, and gas pressure switches are components of our NFPA86 safety package.
