Electric Round Day Tanks

The Electric Round Day Tank is a progressive, state-of-the-art glass furnace. We currently build three sizes—400 lbs, 560 lbs and 740 lbs capacities. The liner is 3” press cast AZS, which is much more tolerant of thermal shock compared to fusecast AZS. Our day tank does not require crucible changes, and typically the liner will last 8-10 years. Molybdenum Disilicide heating elements resist glass corrosion and last years with no significant increase in resistance as they age. Should an element eventually be physically broken, it is easily changed through the ceiling of the furnace with as little as 15 minutes downtime. The compact foot print takes up less space in a studio and our round design allows for an ideal insulation profile. The charging recovery time is equal to or better than our gas furnaces.
